Brandy & Devin were the kind of best friends who didn't know they were meant for each other. After being inseparable in college, their lives went in different directions & to different coasts. But they always talked. Things started to click when Brandy asked for advice on someone she was dating and Devin said "I would never treat you like that." It was the beginning of a fairytale romance ... the kind where the prince uses his thumb to gently wipe the tear of joy from his princess' cheek.
Brandy & Devin's uber-personal wedding was at the beautiful Westlake Village Inn. Brandy & Devin got married amid references to ballet, Shakespeare, comic books, and Kaballah ... and a reading of The Beatles "All You Need is Love"! I have never seen a more personal ceremony that is perfectly suited to the couple.
Devin's wedding day started with a haircut from his dad.
The lovely Brandy, being made up by Ariel of Peaches & Creams, who also happened to be one of Brandy's bridesmaids! The cake tasted as good as it looked! =)
Here's Devin, looking very handsome...
... and his guys. (Notice that they're all in different colored Vans!)Isn't the ring-bearer the cutest little guy ever?
The beautiful bride......and her girls! We were short on time & didn't want the bride to be seen before the wedding, so we shot the ladies' portraits in the hotel's dramatic lobby! I love this shot of the father-of-the-bride photographing his two daughters (Brandy's sister was the Maid of Honor), and the rest of the bridal party! Brandy's mom designed & sewed Brandy's gown ... and it was g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s!
Brandy & Devin created their own Kaballah ceremony. After exchanging rings, they tied red strings around each others wrists to ward off the evil eye.
What an entrance!
Mia Mormino did was the evening's entertainment doing a fantastic performance to Christina Aguilera's "Ain't No Other Man." (If you follow the link to Mia's performance... watch closely & you'll see a cameo of me at the end!) The toasts were fantastic, and had everyone laughing!
The father daughter dance started sentimental...
... and turned into a fabulous choreographed dance inviting the guests to "get it started" on the dance floor!
And then came the dancing ...
... break dancing ...
... and merriment!
